I’m Lisha (she/her) a postdoc at the University of Guelph. My research focuses on how to conserve biodiversity in human dominated landscapes. I am particularly interested in protected areas, agro-ecosystems, wetlands and urban areas. I use birds and their insect prey as model system because their ability to raise young, survive, and ultimately their population trends, can tell us about the health of the ecosystem.

I am also enthusiastic about sharing my interest in research, intrigue in nature, love of all critters, and exploration of habitats. Check out my Twitter page @LishaBerzins to learn more about my research and the photo gallery!
